Working Bicycle AG is the market leader for mobile, dynamic and sustainable outdoor advertising on bicycles in Switzerland.

 

With an advertising network of over 18,500 private individuals, we reach thousands of people daily with our advertising messages.

 

Our young and motivated team always goes the extra mile to further develop our shared vision.

Our story

How did it all begin? With a spontaneous idea during the studies.

This has resulted in creating of the largest mobile advertising network on bicycles in Switzerland.

Today

2018 - Creation of Working Bicycle

  • Working Bicycle is founded in January 2018 by the brothers Luca and Patrick Tschudi and Jérôme Huber as a Ltd
  • In the first small office in Basel, the first boxes were assembled and glued by hand
  • We employed 3 people
  • More than 20 customers had already placed their trust in us
  • Over 2'000 cyclists have already created a profile for themselves

2018

2019 - the market entry

  • To accelerate growth, Working Bicycle has been converted into a plc in January 2019, with participation of selected investors
  • Working Bicycle expanded to six locations in addition to Basel - the advertising network included 7 locations in German-speaking Switzerland
  • We employed 8 people
  • 30 customers already placed their trust in us
  • More than 5'000 cyclists had already created a profile

2019

2020 - the national expansion & the new advertising box

  • To new advertising box has been developed to make future campaigns even more eye-catching and successful for advertisers and, at the same time, more practical for cyclists. From now on, the boxes were no longer glued on but consisted of an insertion system that allows for automated postal delivery of the advertising subjects to our cyclists' homes
  • Working Bicycle expanded to eleven more locations - the advertising network was then comprising a total of 18 locations in Switzerland and was available in two languages (German-speaking and French-speaking Switzerland).
  • We employed 10 people
  • Over 80 customers were already place their trust in us
  • The Working Bicycle community broke the 10'000 cyclists mark!

2020

2021 - profitable growth

  • Working Bicycle broke even in its fourth business year and was in the black - the operating result was very pleasing
  • Working Bicycle expanded to seven more locations - the advertising network comprised 25 locations in Switzerland and is also expanding into Ticino. This means that we were from then on, available in three languages
  • We employed 14 people
  • More than 150 customers had placed their trust in us
  • The Working Bicycle community comprised over 12'000 cyclists

2021

2022 - a record-breaking year!

  • With further expansion, an unbeatable team and a very loyal customer base, we delivered the best year in Working Bicycle's history
  • Working Bicycle expanded to five more locations - the advertising network now covers 30 locations in Switzerland and is available in three languages (German-speaking Switzerland, French-speaking Switzerland and Ticino)
  • Our team grew to 20 employees and we moved into a larger office
  • Over 250 customers placed their trust in us
  • The Working Bicycle community comprised over 16'000 cyclists

2022

2023 - the new advertising box

  • In the first quarter of 2023, we will launch a completely new version of the advertising box on the streets throughout Switzerland. This will allow us to offer our advertisers a 50% larger 360° branding area. The new box also makes handling easier for our cyclists and offers an integrated lock and rear light
  • A new app rounds off the benefits for our cycling community
  • Our new website goes live
  • National reach and visibility studies are commissioned
  • Over 300 satisfied customers now take part in Working Bicycle
  • Our cycling community now has over 18'500 members

2023

Today

  • We are developing geo-targeting solutions in our app to be able to broadcast our advertising campaigns to even more specific target groups
  • We are investing in the expansion of our sales team in order to be able to reliably support even more customers
  • Major optimizations are being made to the internal workflow systems in order to guarantee further growth
  • Our cycling community will crack the 20'000 mark
